Can " Berry" be a swedish last name?

Is the last name " Berry" only an American last name?





I need to know if it can be an swedish last name.

I have spent many years Sweden and can only tell you what my feeling is.





It would not be a "common" (q.v.) name, but why not? Swedes take "new" names all the time. Very few Swedish people even have the name(s) that they did 3 or 4 generations ago.





150 years ago most Swedes had names like Sven(s)son, Sven(s)dauter (eg.: Sven's Daughter) and such.





Almost all Swedish names, now-a-days, that are not like the above are either names that are "taken" or those of Immigrants.





So, "Berry" could be, but probably is not Swedish.





I am not sure it is ONLY American, thou.
