You need to enter the name and then look carefully through the numerous listings, as to where persons with the name come from. There are a lot.. and none of them that I saw, come from either Norway or Sweden.


The real answer is that a name does not always come from one place... and if Siri is your last name, and it WAS from Norway.. that still would not mean that YOU are Norwegian. Many people grow up, hearing that they have such and such a heritage.. only to find out that it mainly comes from their mom's side of the family (which would be a different name to start with).


The ONLY correct way to find out, is to trace the person back to his ancestor's place of birth.
